INSTALL NEW PRINTER USING XUBUNTU
If you have Xubuntu (6.06) and you were wondering where in the (place your favorite religious divine entity here) the printing dialog is to install printers you should open up a browser and try this link: http://localhost:631. If CUPS is installed correctly this will show you the CUPS administration screen and this allows you to adminster your printer settings. Including installing a printer.

My printer is connected to a server running Xubuntu located in a slightly inconvenient location. With Cups I can sit at my desktop and just browse http://myserver:631
