Each month the European Parliament (EP) is traveling between Strasbourg (France) and Brussels (Belgium). This means that each month all the dossiers (paperwork galore!) and people need to move between these two places. It also means spending double the money on the infrastructure and putting quite a burden on the environment just because some bureaucrats couldn’t decide where the European Parliament should reside.

Does this sound utterly and completely stupid to you?

Well, it does to me and luckily also to some members of Parliament as well. Some of these members started a petition for the EP to stay in Brussels and they are asking you to sign it. Frankly, I don’t care if the EP resides in Brussels or in Strasbourg, but this needless and expensive (on all levels be it economical, environmental or social) moving around should stop! So if you don’t want the EP wasting money and resources sign the petition at http://www.oneseat.eu/ and ask your friends to do the same!
